KL Cube Participates in Seongdong-gu ESG Initiative, Showcases Specialized Sign Language Services at
KL Cube participated in an ESG initiative led by Seongdong-gu this year, delivering customized sign language guidance services designed to reflect local community needs.
The project was launched to improve information accessibility for Deaf individuals using welfare facilities within the district. KL Cube deployed AI sign language avatar–based guidance services across multiple institutions, including Seongdong Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, Oksu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Seongsu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Seongdong Center for Families with Disabilities, and the Seongdong Independent Living Center for Persons with Disabilities.
The Seongdong-gu–specific sign language services were later introduced at the district’s ESG Performance Sharing Event, where KL Cube presented service operations and on-site implementation cases. The session highlighted how technology-driven solutions can be effectively applied to ESG practices in real-world public and welfare environments.
Through this initiative, KL Cube reaffirmed how technology can be meaningfully connected to social value creation. The company will continue developing practical sign language services and accessibility technologies that deliver tangible benefits across public and welfare sectors. As part of the service design, users can scan QR codes displayed within facilities to access key information through AI sign language avatars—without the need to install a separate application.
