KL Cube Showcases the Future of Inclusive Healthcare at KHF 2025
In September, KL Cube participated in the KHF 2025 Barrier-Free Healthcare Exhibition held at COEX in Seoul, presenting its vision for a more inclusive medical environment.
Following the new legislation enacted in August, all hospitals in Korea are now required to create disability-friendly environments.
.Yet in reality, challenges remain. The most pressing issue is the severe shortage of sign language interpreters,
which continues to make communication between deaf patients and medical staff difficult.
To help bridge this gap, KL Cube introduced its solutions at the exhibition: the AI-based sign language translation platform “HandSignVerse”, hospital kiosks equipped with sign language guidance and three-way call functionality, and a QR code-based sign language avatar service.
Visitors were particularly impressed by how essential information—such as medical registration, admission procedures, and introductions to medical staff—could be delivered instantly
through a sign language avatar. In situations where interpreters are unavailable or immediate communication is required,
the combination of AI avatars and three-way call services resonated as a practical and innovative solution.
Although the exhibition lasted only a few days, the response from healthcare professionals and visitors was clear:
“With this technology, deaf patients will no longer feel left out in hospitals.”
KHF 2025 was more than just a showcase.
It reaffirmed KL Cube’s role not only as a technology provider but as a pioneer in setting a new standard for medical accessibility.
